This position will report to the site PPL DIGITAL HW Manager.
Mission:
- Understanding of technical requirements and definition of technical solutions.
- Digital Electronics design for on-board units (based on FPGAs and microprocessors).
- Understanding of technical requirements and definition of technical solutions.
- Preparation of design documentation
- Schematics capture in Mentor xDesigner
- Analog/digital electronics simulations
- Signal integrity simulations in Hyperlynx, ADS, Ansys or similar
- Review of post layout/placement activities
- Review of PCB routing
- Preparation of board-level tests procedure
- Internal or customer Design Reviews
- Support in validation and acceptance campaigns.
- Education:
- Engineering Master, preferably Electronics with firm background in digital electronic design.
- Experience in (minimum 6 years) Digital electronics design: communication buses, memories (DDR2, DDR4, NOR Flash), FPGAs, Microprocessors…
- Knowledge of design tools: LTspice, Simplix/Simetrix, OrCAD, …
- Experience with High-Speed digital links (>1Gbps). Simulations, routing guidelines, VITA Standard…
- Valued experience working with FPGAs like Kintex Ultrascale, PolarFire, RTG4, RTAX and RISC-V based microprocessors.
- Valued knowledge of space normative (ECSS) and electronics interfaces standard.

- Master's degree in Engineering (Electronics preferred)
- Minimum 6 years experience in digital electronics design (communication buses, memories, FPGAs, microprocessors)
- Experience with memories: DDR2, DDR4, NOR Flash
- Experience with FPGAs and microprocessors
- Schematics capture experience in Mentor xDesigner
