Senior Hardware Product User Experience Designer
Level: I3
Location: Lausanne, Switzerland
Working model: Hybrid (2–3 days/week in the office)
We’re looking for a Senior Hardware Product User Experience Designer who thrives in complexity, precision and enjoys turning technical systems into simple, elegant user experiences. You’ll be part of Logitech’s Global User Experience team, supporting both the Gaming and Personal Workspace categories — two of the company’s most dynamic and fast-evolving business groups.
This is a unique hybrid role combining:
Hardware Product User Experience design on platform topics such as connectivity and product behavior. You will create guidelines to harmonize experiences across products.
Keyboard layout design, requiring high attention to detail, precision, and strong visual craft.
You are a systems thinker with strong product instincts, equally comfortable designing high-level architecture and crafting pixel-perfect layouts. You care deeply about how things work—not just how they look—and you’re motivated by solving real user problems across hardware and software.
Responsibilities
Product & Platform ExperienceDesign end-to-end product experiences across hardware interactions with firmware and software in mind
Contribute to platform-level UX topics (e.g., connectivity, device behaviors, system interactions)
Translate complex technical constraints into clear, intuitive user experiences
Define information architecture and interaction models for complex systems
Own and design complex keyboard layouts across multiple products, operating systems, and regions
Create precise, production-ready layout files with strong attention to detail
Ensure consistency across languages, markets, and product lines
Collaborate closely with hardware, engineering, and localization teams to align on constraints
Maintain and evolve standards, guidelines, and assets for keyboard layouts
Contribute to the evolution of the Logitech Design System
Define and document platform (e.g., Bluetooth Connectivity) and product guidelines (e.g., Webcam guidelines)
Ensure alignment between design and engineering implementation (design ↔ firmware engineering)
Identify opportunities to standardize and scale solutions across products and platforms
Actively contribute to consistency across Logitech product experiences
Collaborate with design system and platform teams to improve reusability and quality
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
Design & Systems ThinkingStrong experience designing complex consumer hardware products
Strong portfolio showcasing hardware design solutions (e.g., consumer electronics, mobile, ergonomic products, etc.)
Ability to translate product work into reusable guidelines
Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
Strong visual and interaction design skills with a high bar for quality and detail
Excellent understanding of typography, layout and visual hierarchy
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver production-ready assets
Understanding of localization challenge, typography, and spatial constraints
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
Experience with Figma
3D application is a plus
Experience working closely with engineering and product teams
Strong storytelling and presentation skills
Strong in communication with multiple stakeholders and teams
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-paced environments
