What you can expect
- Schematic design
- Circuit analysis including worst case, FMEA, etc.
- Interface with ECAD for circuit board layout, compliance with Manufacturing Design Rules
- Control and release Electrical BOM
- Work with product assurance to develop test specifications on required test equipment
- Interface with EMC activities to ensure compliance and final approvals from customer
- Interface with suppliers for resolving open issues and ensuring part availability
- Identification and implementation of all necessary design changes
- Documentation of all aspects in the product development process
- Development of hardware/software interface specifications
- Lead design reviews with peers and Technical Specialists
- Architecture Design
What you'll bring
- Several years of professional experience in automotive
- Expert in creating HW architectures, conceptual designs, schematics and leading reviews
- Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting
- Experience in design calculations, simulations and WCCA
- Define test plans and execution of tests according with design requirements
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN and other automotive communication protocols
- Hardware circuit analysis and reporting including FMEDAs, FTAs and diagnostic coverage analysis
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC testing
- Experience using Altium
- High speed design basic knowledge (signal / power integrity)
- Understanding of ISO26262
- OEM/Tier 1 supplier experience is a plus
