The Role

About Us

Udacity is on a mission of forging futures in tech through radical talent transformation in digital technologies. We offer a unique and immersive online learning platform, powering corporate technical training in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Autonomous Systems, Cloud Computing and more. Our rapidly growing global organization is revolutionizing how the enterprise market bridges the talent shortage and skills gaps during their digital transformation journey.

Udacity is now an Accenture company, and exciting things are happening!  🚀 We are actively seeking a Senior Growth Product Manager responsible to grow our B2C business. Accountable for improving website conversion rates and increasing our customer base, you will own the development and optimization of all eCommerce shopping funnel pages including home page, search, catalog, program pages, school pages, and checkout. You will be tasked with driving improvements across the micro-funnel of every page while being mindful of how an improvement on one page may drive a regression on the other. You will be the voice of the customers for the Udacity shopping experience and you’ll be expected to use customer insights and website data to inform your overall strategy. You will own prioritization of experiments and feature development across the funnel and should have a point of view on how you prioritize features across pages and why.

As part of your role, you will partner with finance and the data analysis team to project the impact of website changes and should use those impact assessments to inform priority. As you ramp up, you will be expected to drive the end-to-end strategy for the e-commerce shopping experience and align on that strategy with senior leadership. You should be comfortable with data and you will report on website conversion regularly and use that reporting to drive further insights and improvements. The ideal candidate will be able to look past incremental improvements and identify website enhancements that deliver exponential growth for the B2C business.

You will partner with a global team of passionate individuals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Success in the role will involve establishing and maintaining a business-focused, metrics oriented, conversion program that drives meaningful improvement to Udacity’s consumer business. The ideal candidate thrives in a global, dynamic environment, can effectively manage complex projects with customers and internal stakeholders, and is passionate about extending the reach of Udacity’s mission to help our customers forge their futures in tech.

What you'll do:
  • Identify conversion KPIs and operationalize metrics inspection to track business performance
  • Define the ecommerce strategy and then develop and maintain a prioritized roadmap that supports that strategy across the funnel
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand the customer experience and document key pain points and opportunities
  • Manage dependencies by closely partnering with and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to align on program milestones and deliverables
  • Define and develop product requirements and collaborate closely with engineering to develop and release them
  • Develop A/B test plans, experiment dashboards, and be fluent in understanding how to operate website experiments to test your hypotheses with statistical significance and rigor
  • Effectively communicate the roadmap, product features, and release plans to senior leadership and get buy-in
  • Build scalable organizational mechanisms that allow the cross-functional team to operate more efficiently, improve transparency, and be accountable to deadlines.
  • Drive program launches and collaborate with business team to facilitate awareness and adoption of new features, and capture customer feedback
What we value:
  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager
  • Experience working on digital subscription products or ecommerce
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage dependencies and complex projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sophisticated projects and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems with extreme attention to detail on tight deadlines
  • Track record of showing ownership over program lifecycle, managing all aspects of the program, and showing resilience in face of headwinds
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment where tactical and strategic initiatives are driven in parallel
  • Experience deriving and presenting insights to business leaders
  • Ability to have collaborative, technical discussions with engineers and understand technical tradeoffs

Forging futures in tech is our vision. Udacity is where lifelong learners come to learn the skills they need, to land the jobs they want, and to build the lives they deserve.

Don’t stop there!  Please keep reading...

You’ve probably heard the following statistic: Most male applicants only meet 60% of the qualifications, while women and other marginalized candidates only apply if they meet 100% of the qualifications. If you think you have what it takes but don’t meet every single point in the job description, please apply!

We believe that historically, many processes disproportionately hurt the most marginalized communities in society- including people of color, working-class backgrounds, women and LGBTQ people. Centering these communities at our core is pivotal for any successful organization and a value we uphold steadfastly.  Therefore, Udacity strongly encourages applications from all communities and backgrounds.

Udacity is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. Please read our blog post for “6 Reasons Why Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Exists”

This survey is anonymous, we are unable to connect your application with your survey responses. Please complete this voluntary survey as we utilize the data for diversity measures in terms of gender and ethnic background in both our candidates and our Udacians.
