About The Role

The role is responsible for driving data-driven insights and strategies to fuel user acquisition, engagement, and retention across Careem's platform and verticals. The role holder will leverage advanced data analytics, understanding of consumer behavior and prior grasp of key fundamental growth metrics to define and analyze growth opportunities, optimize initiatives and improve key metrics such as MAUs, NU count, cross sell rate and retention

What You'll Do

Data Collection and Preparation

  • Extract Data: Retrieve data from multiple sources (SQL databases, APIs, and third-party tools) to support analysis.
  • Data Cleaning and Wrangling: Prepare and clean datasets to ensure accuracy and usability for analysis.
  • Maintain Data Integrity: Regularly verify and maintain data quality, ensuring consistent and reliable information for decision-making.
  • Automate Data Pipelines: Develop and refine scripts to automate repetitive data tasks, improving efficiency.

Analysis and Insights

  • Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Perform preliminary analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and initial insights at channel, vertical and campaign level.
  • A/B Testing: Design, run, and analyze A/B tests to measure the effectiveness of growth initiatives.
  • User Behavior Analysis: Analyze user activity, segment performance, and identify key behavior trends to support user growth, engagement, and retention.
  • Predictive Analysis: Apply advanced statistical techniques to forecast trends and potential outcomes.

Reporting and Visualization

  • Build Dashboards: Develop and maintain dashboards (e.g., in Tableau, Power BI) to provide real-time insights to stakeholders.
  • Generate Regular Reports: Create and distribute automated weekly and monthly reports on key metrics and performance indicators.
  • KPI Tracking: Track and report on core growth KPIs, including retention, churn, and acquisition metrics.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Mathematics/Statistics
  • Certifications in Data Intelligence/BI reporting/ AI preferred.
  • 3-4 years of proven experience in a similar role preferably in a large Scale B2C startup (Food delivery, e-commerce, gaming) or consumer internet business.
  • Well versed in data mining, statistical modeling and advanced data analysis.
  • Strong hold of Python, SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, VBA, Tableau) and Powerpoint.
  • Strong hold on application of AI and LLM models for automation of tasks.
  • Strong understanding of A/B Testing, Regression Analysis, User Segmentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying behavior analytics principles to growth models.
  • Good communication skills with ability to effectively present results to both technical and non-technical audience.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics from a Tier-1 institute
  • 3-4 years proven experience in a similar growth/data analytics role
  • Experience at large-scale B2C startups (food delivery, e-commerce, gaming) or consumer internet businesses
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction and analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and PowerPoint; familiarity with VBA
  • Experience extracting data from APIs and building/automating data pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of data mining, statistical modeling, regression analysis, and advanced data analysis
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with A/B testing and experiment design/analysis
  • Demonstrated experience applying behavioral analytics to growth models and user segmentation
  • Experience applying AI and LLM models to automate tasks
  • Good communication skills; ability to present results to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Certifications in Data Intelligence, BI reporting, or AI
