About The Role
Electrolux ANZ Legal has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Group Legal Counsel to join the team based in our Sydney Head Office. Your role will cover the large volume of commercial transactions, marketing, litigation and product liability issues in Australian and New Zealand.
We are looking for an ambitious lawyer who is highly adaptable and driven with a solid legal track record and can-do spirit to take up this rare opportunity!
What You’ll Do
Your role is to provide legal support to the General Counsel and the Electrolux business units in Australia and New Zealand.

Review contracts/transactions from a pro-business perspective with minimal risk exposure to Electrolux

Advise various business units in terms of general commercial contractual matters, marketing, ACL consumer related matters, product liability and HR issues

Supervise outside counsel

Prepare corporate documents for Pty Ltd entities including board resolutions consistent with ASIC requirements

Conduct relevant training in accordance with Legal Department ‘s charter and policy

Be a competent legal advisor, trusted governance counsellor and reliable business partner

Take instructions/directions from and be assigned special projects/tasks from General Counsel ANZ and APAC & MEA from time to time
Who You Are
-
Professional qualification in Law and admission to a local bar/legal association required.

Approx. 8-10 years post-graduation legal working experience, ideally within a Law Firm and Inhouse environments.

Good understanding/application of commercial law and contractual principles

Good drafting and social skills

Experience in ACL matters required including consumer related issues and trade practices laws

Experience in marketing sign offs desirable

Experience in labor law, product liability

Self-motivated and able to work with minimum guidance

Good team player with strong influencing skills

Accountability and Transparency in work and behaviour

Relevant industry or FMCG experience or experience with Sales & Marketing teams
