About the Role:

Hims & Hers is seeking an independent Senior Designer, Performance Video to provide design services supporting performance video creative across our digital advertising channels. This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement, focused on the execution and delivery of performance-driven design assets for video advertising.

The engagement is expected to run through March 27, 2026 with potential for extension beyond that date. This is a hands-on design engagement focused on crafting storyboards, on-screen graphics, supers, and design frames that bring clarity, impact, and visual consistency to performance video creative across paid channels. This role is suited for a self-directed designer who operates independently, manages their own workflow, and delivers high-quality outputs against defined briefs and timelines.

Scope of Services

The contractor will be responsible for providing design services that may include the below.

You Will:
  • Performance Video Design Creation of storyboards, design frames, supers, lower thirds, title cards, and graphic elements optimized for paid video platforms such as YouTube, connected TV, and other performance channels.

  • Motion Design Direction Translation of visual concepts into clear motion direction for animators and editors through annotated frames, references, and design systems.

  • Concept Development & Storyboarding Development of storyboard sequences from provided briefs and scripts, with a focus on clarity, narrative flow, and performance outcomes.

  • Iteration & Optimization Refinement of design work based on feedback, testing results, and performance insights to improve engagement and conversion.

  • Creative Collaboration Coordination with producers, copywriters, editors, and motion artists to ensure deliverables align with strategic and channel-specific objectives.

  • Quality & Craft Maintenance of high design standards across all deliverables, ensuring strong composition, typography, brand consistency, and visual clarity.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in design or art direction for video, broadcast, or digital performance content

  • Experience working with supers in an interactive and dynamic way to enhance viewer engagement and visual rhythm

  • Strong command of typography, layout, composition, and motion principles

  • In-depth understanding and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and video production workflows

  • Extensive knowledge of Figma and Frame.io

  • Ability to operate independently, manage time effectively, and deliver against defined scopes and deadlines
