About the team & role

The Derivatives team is on a mission to build the largest regulated exchange for perpetual markets. We’re scaling fast — expanding our product line, launching new contracts, and aiming to 10x our infrastructure to meet surging demand.

As a Senior Golang Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to this vision — designing and delivering the core systems that power our derivatives trading platform. This is a role for engineers who want to build at scale, take ownership of critical services, and directly impact the growth of one of the most exciting areas in crypto finance.

What you'll do

• Own and evolve core derivatives trading services — from order matching to risk management.
• Design and build high-performance, scalable, and resilient systems using Golang, running in AWS.
• Scale infrastructure and backend services to handle 10x trading volume in the next 12 months.
• Ship features quickly and reliably to support new product listings and market expansion.
• Ensure robust performance under load, with a focus on low latency, data integrity, and system uptime.
• Participate in on-call rotation and take full ownership of the services you build.
• Build HA services on top of state of the art consensus algorithm - RAFT.

What you bring

• 5+ years of backend development experience with expert-level Golang skills.
• Proven experience building and scaling high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture—preferably AWS.
• Solid database experience — MySQL and/or DynamoDB.
• A bias for action and a passion for delivering real impact in a fast-moving environment.
• Ownership mindset — you're driven by goals, not specs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Nice to haves

• Experience working on derivatives, perpetual contracts, or margin trading platforms.
• Familiarity with financial risk systems, mark pricing, or funding rate mechanisms.
• Background in trading systems, crypto exchanges, or market infrastructure.
• Crypto-savvy — you follow the space and use the products.
