We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Golang Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using Go (Golang). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust APIs, optimize system performance, and deliver reliable software solutions following modern software engineering principles and best practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Go (Golang).
- Build, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
- Design and implement scalable microservices-based architectures.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Design, develop, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using JWT and OAuth2.
- Develop background services, scheduled jobs, and asynchronous processing using message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Write unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure application quality.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Frontend, DevOps, QA, and Product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
- Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to support deployment automation.
- Monitor application health, performance, and logs to ensure system reliability.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to architectural decisions.
Requirements
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience using Go (Golang)
- Strong experience building RESTful APIs and familiarity with gRPC
- Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture and Distributed Systems
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases
- Experience working with Redis and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Hands-on experience with Git and version control workflows
- Experience with Docker
- Kubernetes experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Good understanding of software security principles, including JWT, OAuth2, and OWASP Top 10
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Strong understanding of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, analytical skills and strong communication in Agile/Scrum environments
