Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Navigation Engineer for ISG located in Torrance, CA, you will:
- Apply deep and broad understanding of GNSS knowledge to design, implement, modify and extend advanced clock and orbit determination algorithms and correction delivery services for John Deere StarFire signals products.
- Lead technical problem-solving efforts, ensuring progress with minimal supervision and delivering high-quality solutions.
- Work with software development teams integrating and testing modifications and extensions to real-time GNSS application software and related components.
- Participate in code and design reviews, debug and enhance large C++ codebases
- Use Matlab and/or Python for data visualization and analysis.
- Perform regression testing on multiple datasets to ensure solution performance, reliability, and integrity.
- Work with cross disciplinary team members to quickly and effectively diagnose and solve system defects.

What Skills You Need
- Develop and refine real time GNSS correction determination and delivery applications.
- Proven expertise in implementing Kalman filters and similar estimation algorithms.
- Strong experience in C++ software development, ideally with software that has real-time requirements.
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python or a comparable language.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a development team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced development environment with changing priorities.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders to understand, analyze, and document various GNSS-related problems and resolution.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Must have 3 or more years experiences developing and implementing GNSS navigation algorithms with an emphasis on differential GNSS orbit and clock determination, Kalman filtering and other estimation methods
- Must have 3 or more years professional experience programming real-time embedded C/C++ applications
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Geomatics, Engineering, or a GNSS related field. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) with research in precise GNSS positioning is highly desirable.
