The Legal Compliance Organization (LCO) provides legal guidance to further KLA’s strategic objectives and protect and preserve the company's legal, ethical and financial integrity and reputation. Position Summary
The Senior Global Trade Compliance Analyst – Import/Export Operations will strengthen KLA’s global trade compliance operations across all regions. Although based in India and Singapore, these roles will provide global support with emphasis on U.S. export control blocks, restricted party and sanctioned party list screening escalations, HTS and ECCN classifications, order release support, and operational reporting controls. The successful candidate must be a self-starter who demonstrates ownership, sound judgment, risk awareness, escalation discipline, data-driven decision making, and strong cross-functional follow-through across time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global trade compliance operational support across all regions, including export control blocks, restricted party screening escalations, HTS/ECCN classification, order release, shared inbox support, broker inquiries, and escalations.
- Review and validate import/export documentation, commercial invoice data, country of origin, customs value, part descriptions, shipment information, and related data required for compliant customs and export activity.
- Support U.S. and global export control reviews, including block resolution, ECCN validation, SPL screening escalations, license requirement assessment, sanctions/embargo considerations, and escalation of higher-risk transactions.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, logistics, procurement, requestors, and regional stakeholders to resolve holds, missing documentation, classification questions, shipment delays, and urgent compliance requests.
- Own operational reporting controls, including SLA performance, request volumes, cycle time, aging, screening escalation activity, backlog, quality metrics, bottlenecks, and continuous improvement actions.
- Improve SOPs, work instructions, classification guidance, escalation procedures, training materials, governance documentation, and operating routines to strengthen process discipline and audit readiness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing, shared services, or high-volume trade compliance operations.
- Experience with SAP, SAP GTS, Fiori, trade management systems, ServiceNow, Power BI, SharePoint, Excel, or similar tools.
- Ability to build trackers, dashboards, metrics, reporting controls, and exception reports; broker management, import audits, recordkeeping, process standardization, and LCB/CCS/CES certification preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 5+ years of experience in global trade compliance, import/export operations, customs compliance, or export controls.
- Hands-on experience with HTS/ECCN classification, export control blocks, SPL screening, customs documentation, valuation, country of origin, and shipment release requirements.
- Strong knowledge of EAR, sanctions controls, license requirements, controlled technology considerations, operational queues, escalations, data review, stakeholder communication, and timely follow-through.
