At our group headquarters in Baar, Switzerland, we are looking for a senior marketing leader with deep expertise in leading global brand strategy, brand communication, trade marketing, portfolio & innovation, category management and consumer insights in the beverage industry.

SCOPE AND IMPACT OF THE ROLE

The Senior Global Brand Director is the strategic and operational leader of the global Capri Sun brand. This role owns the entire brand marketing agenda, ensuring long-term brand equity, strong financial performance, and globally aligned execution. In close collaboration with commercial leaders, the Senior Global Brand Director drives sustainable top-line and bottom-line growth through impactful brand strategy, world-class communication, and effective innovation management.  

The role is responsible for leading the global marketing sub functions of brand strategy, brand communications, trade marketing, portfolio and innovation management, consumer insights and category management. 

Reporting to the CEO, the role shapes the global direction of one of the world’s most iconic and loved beverage brands. 

This role is based in Baar, Switzerland. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Brand Strategy & Leadership 

  • Lead the global marketing function with full ownership of the global A&P budget 
  • Develop and implement the global brand marketing strategy, ensuring consistency and relevance across all markets 
  • Build the annual global brand plan, covering platform strategies, communication, A&P allocation, NPD launches, and the global partner event with state-of-the-art broadcasting 

Communication, Media & Creative Excellence 

  • Develop media strategies and plans for all key markets and act as the strategic media lead globally 
  • Ensure best-in-class media execution 
  • Lead global agencies (communication, PR, design) to deliver effective, consumer-centric ATL assets 
  • Develop global point-of-sale and merchandising guidelines 
  • Provide guidance to local marketing teams on cost-effective and impactful BTL activations 

Global Portfolio & Innovation Management 

  • Lead global portfolio management, including the development of 3-year platform strategies across markets to drive sustainable brand growth 
  • Own global and local innovation management, including a rolling 3-year innovation pipeline 
  • Lead the IDEA innovation process, ensuring a strong funnel and timely, accretive innovation delivery 

Business & P&L Performance 

  • Deliver top- and bottom-line P&L performance in close collaboration with global and regional sales teams 
  • Ensure marketing ROI through data-driven planning, growth principles, and systematic performance evaluation 

Marketing Capability Building 

  • Leverage category data to foster a data driven marketing approach to support executive level commercial decision-making process 
  • Functionally lead, coach, and develop global and local marketing teams 
  • Oversee hiring, talent development, and succession planning for all global marketing roles 
  • Drive close collaboration with market teams and central functions through global get-togethers, inspiration sessions, and structured best-practice sharing 
  • Conduct media trainings and capability-building sessions for all marketeers 

 

PROFILE

Professional Experience 

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in global brand led FMCG business, ideally within beverages or consumer goods (required)
  • Proven track record in leading and growing global brands across multiple markets 
  • Significant experience in brand strategy, communication development, and media planning/execution 
  • Demonstrated experience in building sustainable, profitable portfolios and strong innovation funnels including 3-year pipeline development and IDEA processes 
  • Experience in planning and leading annual brand planning cycles and ensuring disciplined execution across different markets 
  • Demonstrated business acumen with direct responsibility for P&L management, ROI improvement, and A&P budget optimization 
  • Experience leading global agencies (creative, media, PR, design) to deliver impactful ATL campaigns 
  • Success in working within a multicultural global organization, influencing senior stakeholders across markets 

 

Required Skills and Competencies 

  • Deep understanding of global brand management, consumer insights, and communication effectiveness 
  • Strong grasp of key growth levers, pricing, P&L drivers, and ROI principles 
  • Exceptional understanding of data, insights, and analytics to drive decisions and improve performance 
  • Sharp instinct for high-quality creative work, media strategy, and consumer-centric storytelling 
  • Ability to adapt effectively to different cultural contexts; understands how to balance global consistency with local relevance 
  • Skilled in embracing experimentation, positively challenging the status quo, and continually seeking new opportunities for brand growth 

Leadership and People Management Skills 

  • Ability to define a compelling long-term brand vision and translate it into executable global strategies
  • Highly skilled in talent development, capability building, and leading high-performing marketing teams
  • Proven ability to hire, develop, inspire, and retain top marketing talent with a strong coaching mindset 
  • Skilled at building alignment across sales, product & packaging development, supply chain, and market leadership teams 
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage and influence C-suite stakeholders 
  • Ability to foster trust, inclusion, and best practices sharing across diverse markets and cultures
