RESPONSIBILITIES
Monthly Closing
- Ensure accurate closing and reporting, according local and USGAAP (SAP/BPC/BlackLine), respecting financial reporting deadlines.
- Responsible of intercompany cross charging to principal entity.
- Review and explain actual variances versus budget/forecasts.
- Discuss monthly reporting with Regional Controller.
- Payroll for the entity + salary reconciliation.
Daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually function
- Maintain GL reconciliations for respective market(s).
- Prepare on a weekly basis vendor payment runs.
- Prepare and post bank statements daily.
- Follow-up expense notes tool (Concur).
- Review weekly commission statements on withholding tax and social security as applicable and reach out to the global commission team for guidance & exchange of information.
- Inform the global commission team on legal (annual) threshold updates (social security) and give support & guidance in this respect.
- File the necessary legal compliance documents in respect of Social. Security and withholding tax on commissions paid.
Internal Control
- Ensure an adequate internal control environment and maintain compliance (SOX-404).
- Involvement in continuous improvement of processes.
Ad-hoc business support
- Be a business support for the Sales and Marketing teams as well as for other departments.
- Prepare on time requested information for external consultants, external and interal auditors.
Involvement in local reporting’s and compliances, draft annual-statutory accounts, preparation of Corporate Income Tax returns, surveys and other documentation required by local Authorities and other organizations.
REQUIREMENTS
• You have an accounting background. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- US GAAP knowledge
• You are fluent in English
• You have experience with SAP and MS Office (strong skills in Excel)
• You anticipate impacts of workload/issues to meet deadlines
• You have the ability to handle multiple tasks and manage deadlines and you have strong analytical skills.
• You are eager to learn, flexible, stress resilient and proactive
