Senior GL Accountant
Primary Role:
- As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the bookkeeping and account reconciliations of one large entity or several smaller entities. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
- Journal Entries: Post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred income, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (30%).
- Account Reconciliations: Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date (30%).
- Financial Analysis: Analyze P&L and Balance Sheet to identify posting errors, verify adequate accruals, and ensure the correct application of accounting rules (30%).
- Support for Controllers: Provide and analyze data to assist controllers in decision-making and financial reporting (20%).
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Accounting, with a focus on General Ledger (GL). Experience with SAP is advantageous.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Licensure & Certifications:
- Not required, but relevant certifications in accounting or finance are a plus.
Travel Requirement:
- Minimal, with occasional travel for work-related tasks or meetings.
