This role involves leveraging DevOps principles, REST API integrations, and automated solutions to optimize platform monitoring and data recovery efficiencies.
Job Description
The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the organization’s Genesys Cloud monitoring strategies. This role encompasses the use of REST API’s, web-based scripting language (PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, etc..), emphasizing infrastructure as code, and continuous integration with appropriate change management. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions with a focus on DevOps practices, automation, and RESTful APIs to enable seamless integration and scalability.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across teams to evaluate cloud solutions, identify opportunities for automation, and ensure that systems align with organizational goals.
- Driving the adoption of DevOps tools and methodologies to streamline deployment pipelines, monitor infrastructure, and improve release cycles.
- Working closely with Genesys Cloud data leaders and engineers to develop detailed specifications for new cloud services, with a strong emphasis on automated, scalable, and resilient infrastructure.
- Auditing the deployment of multiple Genesys Cloud environments, monitoring their performance, and documenting potential enhancement to improve efficiency.
- Leveraging automation frameworks to reduce manual intervention and optimize infrastructure management, applying technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Implementing and consuming REST APIs for seamless integration across various cloud services and internal systems.
- Guiding the team in designing robust cloud solutions, making strategic technical decisions, and contributing to the overall cloud infrastructure roadmap.
This role demands a high degree of autonomy and initiative, with substantial latitude in setting objectives and determining the most effective approaches to cloud and automation solutions.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cloud solutions, DevOps, and infrastructure, with a focus on automation and API integrations.
- Proven experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Proficiency in RESTful API design and integration to support automation and service interactions.
- Strong automation skills with scripting and tools to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Passionate about driving innovation in cloud solutions and enhancing user experiences through automation and streamlined processes.
- Given the need for real-time collaboration with our clients primarily based in the Eastern Time Zone (ET), preference will be given to candidates who can work within these hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 8+ years related field.
- Experience with additional DevOps practices, including containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring/alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

- WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$104,800 - $144,300 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
