As a HR Generalist - Regional for a leading global financial services company, you will play a crucial role in guiding people managers through complex people matters in Brazil and as well as countries across South America. You will be responsible for assisting in the execution of HR programs and policies, ensuring alignment with global standards while addressing the unique needs of the regional workforce. Collaborating closely with regional HR teams and leadership, you will provide guidance on HR best practices, assist with performance management, and ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies. The role requires a proactive, solution-oriented approach, exceptional communication skills (multiple languages highly desired), and the ability to navigate complex, cross-cultural HR challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Role Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for complex HR matters across Brazil as well as other South American countries, including employee relations, performance management, leave management, and workplace accommodations.
Ensure consistent and compliant application of company policies, procedures, and programs, adapting guidance as needed to meet labor law requirements.
Partner closely with managers and regional leaders to provide coaching and guidance on people's decisions, risk mitigation, and best HR practices.
Independently manage escalated employee cases, conducting fact‑finding, documentation, and
Support execution of regional HR programs (e.g., performance cycles, corrective actions, investigations, terminations).
Resolution in partnership with Legal, Compliance, or HR leadership as appropriate.
Role Requirements
For this role, you will ideally be an experienced human resource professional, with extensive knowledge in Brazil labor laws and regulations.
In-depth knowledge of regional HR practices, policies, and labor laws.
Critical and creative thinking, attention to detail, and ability to make independent decisions.
Experience driving process improvements and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders of different seniority levels.
Fluency in English and Portuguese with outstanding verbal, writing, and listening skills.
Spanish language will be a plus.
Work Shift
