We are looking for an experienced Senior / Independent Accountant who will take full responsibility for maintaining the accounting books of one of our companies. This role includes comprehensive accounting support and ensuring that reporting complies with accounting policies (IFRS) and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Independent management of the company’s full accounting.
- Ensuring accurate recording of business transactions in accordance with the company’s accounting policies (IFRS) and local regulations.
- Preparing and posting monthly journal entries, recurring entries, allocations, and collecting appropriate supporting documentation.
- Cooperating with other departments and Business Control to ensure the accuracy of financial data and to provide ongoing accounting support.
- Preparing and submitting financial data on time for group reporting (OneStream).
- Regular verification, reconciliation, and analysis of balance sheet accounts.
- Reconciling intercompany balances and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Performing account analysis and verifying the accuracy of recorded transactions.
- Preparing documentation and information for external and internal auditors.
- Maintaining and continuously improving accounting processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Creating and updating work instructions.
- Ensuring timely financial reporting
Requirements
- Over 7 years of experience in accounting - Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an independent accounting role involving full accounting responsibility.
- Experience in independently maintaining the accounting books of a company.
- Relevant education (minimum secondary vocational/economic, higher education preferred).
- Very good knowledge of accounting and tax regulations.
- Knowledge of IFRS will be an additional advantage.
- Communicative level of English – daily work in English.
- Strong analytical skills, independence, and responsibility.
- Focus on quality, improvements, and timely delivery.
