Job purpose and ImpactAs Senior General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all accounting activities related to Interfaces’ general ledger accounts. With a keen eye for detail and in-depth knowledge of financial reporting principles, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data. Your experience will enable you to address complex accounting challenges and provide strategic advice to the business.
This position is for the accounting team which covers 10 entities within EMEA which are part of the fiscal unity, and you will work closely with two other team members who are also located in Scherpenzeel. The team is part of the FSSC (Financial Shared Service Center) which supports EMEA. You will report directly to the Manager General Ledger Accounting.
Main responsibilities:
Day to day finance an accounts operation to ensure financial accounting of our companies in line with tax, legal and internal procedures
Manage and support teams with preparing and conducting internal and external audits within your fiscal entity
Responsible for accurate and on-time fiscal reporting such as VAT, payroll taxes, income taxes
Prepare monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting
Conducting the correct and timely
Responsible for the local GAAP reporting
Control (outsourced) payroll administration
Conducting end-of-month accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
In charge of the coordination of activities for a fiscal unity/cluster
Identify, introduce, and conduct different improvement projects

A salary appropriate to your level of expertise and position and following our internal grading system
38 days paid time off (which includes 25 days statutory leave and 13 additional days based on full-time employment)

8% statutory vacation pay

You have several years of experience in financial administration and have extensive knowledge of accounting, reporting and fiscal legislation. What characterizes you is your proactive approach, as well as your organizational and analytical skills. The dynamics of a global manufacturing company that prioritizes sustainability and innovation also appeals to you. Other necessary requirments are:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or similar
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in a complex international organization
Extensive knowledge of various automation systems such as MS Office and ERP systems (experience with JDE is a plus)
Fluency in the Dutch and English language both verbally and in writing
