Epic Games is seeking an experienced Senior Gameplay Designer to join our dynamic team, contributing across various aspects of game design for our collaboration with Disney. In this role, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to shape and refine gameplay features, balance game mechanics, craft engaging quests and scenarios, and ensure a compelling player experience.
In this role, you will
- Own the design and implementation of various major features, such as gameplay systems, quests, and encounters while fostering innovation
- Effectively communicate project vision to team members of all disciplines, collaborating with product management and marketing teams to ensure player satisfaction and overall game health
- Set and maintain high-quality standards for design, actively participating in big-picture decisions to drive superior results
- Create clear, structured design documents and drive collaborative, iterative prototyping processes, both paper-based and in-game
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform design decisions, adjust live balance in real-time, and react quickly to changing project needs, driving to effective solutions
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5+ years of experience shipping multiple titles as a game designer, with expertise in various aspects of game design such as social gameplay features, balance tuning, quest content, and scenario design
- Deep passion for multiplayer games with a wide breadth of game knowledge and understanding of player motivations
- Ability to react quickly to changing project needs and directions, along with strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset
- Experience with multiplayer cooperative games, systems design, analytics tools/languages/processes, and visual scripting is a plus
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including CA & WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
California Base Pay Range
$158,988—$233,182 USD
Washington Base Pay Range
$151,761—$222,583 USD
