This position is either based in Barcelona (hybrid) or fully remote.

Picante is a brand-new Voodoo studio with a very exciting and ambitious mission: release the next $1B Match-3 game, pioneering the next generation in this category. We aim to elevate quality and innovation in casual gaming, redefine industry standards, and deliver fun to a broad audience. You will be joining this studio as a Senior Economy Designer.
Role
We are seeking a Senior Economy Designer to define and shape the economic foundations of an innovative Match-3 hybrid game from the ground up. Your role will be essential in ensuring the economy feels rewarding, sustainable, and integrated seamlessly into the overall game design.
- Design and shape the game’s economy, establishing revenue streams, progression systems, and player reward structures.
- Collaborate closely with the product & design team to align economic strategies with the overall vision and long-term game development.
- Balance in-game economies, considering player progression, currency flow, and reward systems to create a sustainable experience.
- Prototype economic features and refine them based on player data, ensuring they encourage meaningful progression, engagement, and retention.
- Work with data analysts to develop KPIs, A/B tests, and other tools to track performance and optimize the game economy based on insights.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, analyzing competitor strategies and applying learnings to ensure differentiation and innovation in the game’s economy.
As Senior Economy Designer, you will have a key role in shaping the long-term vision of the product, working alongside a dynamic, multidisciplinary team to create a breakthrough experience.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience in game economy design, balancing, or monetization, ideally for F2P mobile games with RPG or hybrid mechanics.
- Strong expertise in progression systems, currency management, and player reward structures.
- Experience in top-tier RPG, hybrid, or midcore gaming studios
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze player behavior and optimize in-game economies through A/B testing and telemetry.
- Ability to work collaboratively with PM, game designers, developers, and analysts to ensure that economic systems enhance gameplay
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and hungry to make it big
