Are you a game designer with solid international experience in LiveOps and/or creation? Join Gameloft Hanoi and be a part of our team of 13+ multicultural game designers are working on exciting projects, both independently and in co-development with other Gameloft studios around the world, involving famous IPs and a variety of game genres, including racing, action, FPS, simulation.

You will play a key role to shape the game’s vision by defining design intentions, crafting gameplay systems, mechanics, and live features, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in LiveOps design and feature implementation, using game KPIs, player feedback, and A/B testing to drive data-informed decisions to deliver engaging and sustainable player experiences. Your daily work will include:

Game features Design and Implementation

• Design and maintain the LiveOps calendar, including events, offers, and in-game activities.
• Design and document the blueprint for the entire game, including features, gameplay, level design, mechanics, etc, and wireframes.
• Ensure gameplay is balanced, immersive, and enjoyable.
• Troubleshoot design issues during production and ensure quality throughout the development cycle.
• Collaborate closely with other Game Designers, Artists, Programmers, and Data Analysts to align on vision, difficulty, and performance.

Ideation & Pitches

• Lead brainstorming sessions and pitch new ideas
• Present and align designs with cross-functional teams

Mentorship, Knowledge Sharing and Support

• Mentor junior designers and share your knowledge through workshops and feedback.
• Keep up with trends, review other games, and spark fresh ideas within the team.
• Support Studio Lead Game Designer and Producers with design insights and help out with hiring when needed. 

• Experience as a Game Designer with at least 2 shipped titles (any platform)
• Strong knowledge in:
  •  Gameplay & system design
  • Mechanics design & 3Cs design
  • LiveOps and KPI analysis
  • A/B testing and data-driven decision making
  • Player psychology, monetization & retention strategies
• Excellent problem-solving, creative thinking, and communication skills
• Confident in pitching, presenting, and working in a collaborative team
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Experience with simulation, ads-based games, or non-mobile platforms
• Skills in UI/UX, narrative design, basic programming, or visual arts (e.g., sketching, composition, color theory)
• Familiarity with user acquisition (UA), SEO, ASO, and leadership experience
