Position Details
Title: Associate, Fund Accountant
Location: Philippines
Estimated Start Date: June 2026 (assumes 30–60-day notice with employer)
Target Salary: Up to 100,000 PHP per month
Responsibilities
Exhibit the ability to work in a high energy environment supporting multiple clients simultaneously.
Deliver exceptional client service through proactive communication with responsiveness, professionalism and tact.
Operational Expertise: demonstrate considerable understanding of key operational functions which may include, but not be limited to:
Demonstrate high-level knowledge of securities including equities, ETFs, swaps, options, fixed income, futures, foreign exchange – crypto a plus
Daily trade confirmation/settlement
Fails management
Daily P&L reconciliation and reporting
Corporate action and proxy voting processing
Cash/position reconciliation
Broker/counter-party onboarding
Security set-up and data integrity maintenance
Actively participate in daily, weekly, monthly, or as-needed virtual calls with U.S./U.K. Cartesian offices to support clients during their local business hours.
The successful candidate will be one of the key points of contact for all operational queries and will interact closely with clients/prime brokers/administrators and internally across the Business, Middle Office and Operations.
Learn and adhere to the company’s risk parameters, policies and procedures.
Assist team members with resolution of complex issues/problems.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in the alternative Investment Management industry (Hedge Fund, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Cryptocurrency) at a fund administrator or internal accounting department at an Alternative Investment fund with a deep understanding of domain knowledge and proven ability to manage teams.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent certification in Philippines.
CPA, equivalent accounting certification in Philippines.

Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and investment operations processes.

Qualifications (cont’d)
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks and Xero as well as knowledge and understanding of well-known Portfolio Management Systems (PMS).

In depth understanding of investment management and alternative products
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to solve problems - quickly and competently
Ability to handle and protect highly confidential financial and personal information reliably and with discretion.
Skills Required
- 5+ years experience in alternative investment management (hedge funds, private equity, VC, cryptocurrency) at a fund administrator or internal fund accounting team with team management ability.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent Philippine certification.
- CPA or equivalent accounting certification in the Philippines.
- Strong knowledge of investment products (equities, ETFs, swaps, options, fixed income, futures, FX; crypto a plus) and investment operations processes.
- Daily trade confirmation/settlement, fails management, daily P&L reconciliation and reporting experience.
- Corporate action and proxy voting processing experience.
- Cash and position reconciliation experience and broker/counterparty onboarding knowledge.
- Strong accounting and analytical skills; ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Xero) and familiarity with Portfolio Management Systems.
- Ability to handle and protect highly confidential financial and personal information with discretion.
- Willingness to participate in daily/weekly/monthly virtual calls during U.S./U.K. business hours to support clients.
