To be successful in this role, you will have to:
- Design and develop highly scalable, performance-focused web applications using modern frameworks such as React, NextJs, and Node.js.
- Identify and implement web performance optimization strategies, including lazy loading, code splitting, asset minification, and browser caching.
- Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals, ensuring high Lighthouse scores and exceptional user experiences across devices.
- Define and enforce best practices for writing SEO-friendly, server-rendered React applications that prioritize performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to create dynamic and responsive frontends that deliver optimal speed and interactivity.
- Conduct A/B tests to evaluate the performance impact of new features and refine them based on insights.
- Be a key contributor to scalable front-end architectures that serve millions of users.
And you will need:
- Motivation to build fast, efficient, and scalable applications in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with a problem-solving mindset and a keen interest in performance metrics.
- Proven experience in web performance optimization, including debugging slow pages and reducing load times.
- Expert knowledge of Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, and modern browser performance profiling tools.
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on frontend and backend optimization using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js).
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS/SASS, HTML, and their impact on page performance.
- Deep understanding of server-side rendering, code splitting, and isomorphic JavaScript for optimized user experiences.
- Familiarity with A/B testing tools and methodologies to measure and improve performance changes.
- Understanding of Agile/Kanban development processes and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Hands-on experience with image optimization techniques, CDN configurations, and third-party script management (is a plus)
- Knowledge of GraphQL federation and advanced caching strategies.
- Prior contributions to performance-focused open-source libraries or projects.
