Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, AI Platform

As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, you’ll lead high-impact, ambiguous projects across our entire technical stack, playing a key role in shaping the direction of our product. You’ll collaborate closely with customers to deeply understand their needs and mentor a talented engineering team to deliver innovative, scalable solutions.

You’ll be part of the core AI team, working alongside a multidisciplinary group of product engineers, machine learning engineers, product managers, and security and compliance experts to implement, scale, and maintain AI products and experiences. In this role, you’ll build solid UX foundations and high-leverage web components that empower Vanta’s engineers to create and enhance high-quality AI products.

What you’ll do as a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer at Vanta:

• Team up with other engineers to design and implement AI-powered features to deliver customer value and integrate LLM models with the existing products and systems

• Collaborate with other teams and engineers across Vanta on cross-cutting engineering initiatives or on building common product primitives.

• Make thoughtful trade-offs that balance business objectives, user experience, and long-term technical sustainability

• Set an example for effective, collaborative engineering culture

How to be successful in this role:

• 5+ years of full stack experience with an emphasis on frontend skills.

• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and GraphQL.

• A pragmatic approach to problem solving, with the ability to assess when to build versus buy, identify true customer needs, and execute with iteration in mind.

• A product-minded engineer who empathizes with users and is driven to solve their problems.

• Experience building 0→1 products as well as solving UX problems especially in environments that prioritize bias for action.

• Previous experience applying AI in products, or a strong interest in exploring this space.
