We are part of the software engineering Core Platform mission - the heartbeat of Oura. We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to contribute to the Tooling and Releases squads of the mission. We provide business-critical capabilities that power Oura’s state-of-the-art rollouts of new features, world-class Member eXperience troubleshooting, and next gen internal hub for launching bespoke tooling applications with the power of AI.

This is a hybrid role with preferred locations of Helsinki, Tampere or Oulu where the majority of our team is located. We will also consider outstanding candidates in the rest of Finland.

What You will do:
  • Design and Implement End-to-End Systems: Build secure & scalable internal applications that power Oura’s rollout capabilities, troubleshooting workflows, and our next-gen AI-powered internal hub.
  • Lead Frontend Excellence: Create sophisticated, performant UIs using TypeScript (React or Vue) and Vite to ensure a seamless, modular and future-proof  internal tool ecosystem.
  • Develop High-Performance Services: Create high-availability, low-latency backend services to deliver critical configurations and content to millions of Oura members and serve Ouranians needs.
  • Drive Engineering Excellence: Take a leading role in leveraging future technologies, especially AI, across the software organization and championing engineering excellence through continuous operational improvements.
  • Collaborate Across Missions: Work closely with Product Managers and engineering teams (Mobile, Cloud, Firmware, etc.) to translate complex internal needs into delightful developer experiences.
  • Own Infrastructure & Delivery: Manage and scale our cloud environment using Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi, Helm) and modern CI/CD patterns to ensure reliable, automated deployments.
We would love to have You on our team, if You have:
  • Extensive Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex full-stack projects.
  • Outstanding AI-Native Proficiency: Deep experience with agentic workflows and tools (e.g., Cursor, agentic CLIs), treating AI as a high-output collaborator to fundamentally reshape and accelerate the software lifecycle across craft and organization.
  • Mastery of Modern Web Tech: Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React or Vue), including experience with state management and micro-frontend architectures.
  • Robust Backend Skills: Strong proficiency in building production-grade APIs and services with Python or Rust.
  • Database Versatility: Solid competence working with both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, Firestore, Redis) databases.
  • Cloud & DevOps Fluency: Practical experience with AWS (EKS, SQS/SNS, S3) and containerization, along with a "DevOps mindset" toward monitoring (Sentry, OTEL) and automation.
  • Ownership Mentality: A proactive attitude with the ability to take a rough idea and turn it into a concrete, high-impact product.
  • Passion for DevX: A genuine interest in improving developer productivity through easy-to-use tooling and great engineering practices.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
