In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing and enhancing key user experiences within our ecosystem. A significant focus of this position involves building and optimizing web applications that are deeply integrated into our core product experience. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain user-facing web applications and features with a strong focus on performance and responsiveness across various screen sizes and environments.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and implement new features and improvements.
- Optimize web experiences for seamless integration within different application contexts, considering factors like performance, responsiveness, and potential platform-specific nuances.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and provide constructive feedback.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following established best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge within the team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve web-related issues across different environments.
Bonus Points:
- Experience developing native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
- Experience developing web applications with a mobile-first approach.
- Familiarity with techniques for optimizing web performance in resource-constrained environments.
- Familiarity with backend development concepts and technologies.
- Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools for web applications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in web development.
- Strong proficiency in core web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Deep understanding of responsive design principles and techniques to ensure optimal experiences on different devices.
- Experience with cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization for diverse platforms.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Annual Pay Range

With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)
Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
