The Purpose:
Senior Fullstack Engineers (m/f/d) at PPRO drive core technical decisions, solving complex technical problems, whilst participating in decisions on architecture and technical direction. Supporting and mentoring engineering colleagues within a hands-on environment. A strong understanding of business context, customer needs, and technical constraints is essential to designing and implementing pragmatic, scalable solutions that address the right problems and deliver sustainable value.
What you’ll do:
- Own end-to-end software development processes, from requirements to deployment in our production systems for our key products and services (e.g. accounting and reporting systems)
- Be an integral part of the team’s culture and ways of working, continuously improving development processes and practices together with your colleagues based on data, feedback, and changing business needs.
- Use the latest technologies (e.g. React Query, gRPC) to solve real problems for our customers at a massive scale
- Take e2e operational responsibility for the team-owned components
- Share technical expertise and architect creative solutions while advancing team best practices
What we look for in you:
- Ability to collaborate and grow dynamic and autonomous environments, whilst in a small, agile team.
- Impact-oriented, collaborative, empathetic, focused, curious, well-organized, having a continuous improvement mindset and strong sense of responsibility
- Experience leading design solutions from scratch to impact, heavily supporting them hands-on
- Working proficiency in English
- Confident AI-augmented development experience with a focus on a solution quality and cost-efficient usage (Ideally Claude Code)
- Accounting/Fintech Domain: Experience with—or a strong interest in—the complexities of accounting systems or ledgers is a distinct advantage
Technical Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience working with Java/Kotlin and JS/TS
- Modern frameworks (Spring Boot, React)
- Strong AWS experience, including efficient cost-management (SNS/SQS, Kinesis, Lambdas; Terraform is a plus)
- Event-driven + Microservice architectures (Anti-corruption layer, Event Sourcing, CQRS)

Skills Required
- 5+ years of professional experience with Java or Kotlin and JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with Spring Boot and React
- Strong AWS experience, including SNS, SQS, Kinesis, and Lambda
- Experience with event-driven and microservice architectures
- Experience leading software design solutions from inception through impact
- Working proficiency in English
- AI-augmented development experience, ideally with Claude Code
- Terraform experience
- Accounting or fintech domain experience or strong interest in accounting systems and ledgers
- Ability to work three days per week onsite in a hybrid environment
