Position Summary

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep back-end expertise to help shape the architecture of our next-generation energy market platform. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership across settlement processing, bid submission, market workflows, and platform APIs.

The majority of development is back-end focused, with front-end work serving as a secondary responsibility.

Position Details

  • Salary range: $135,000 - $160,000
  • Location: Hybrid (Boulder, CO)
  • Full-time
  • Hybrid - 2 days in the office
  • Reporting to: Vice President, Engineering

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design architecture for scalable platform services.
  • Lead implementation of back-end systems in C#/.NET.
  • Define API and service design patterns.
  • Guide database architecture and performance optimization.
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews and technical coaching.
  • Contribute to JavaScript front-end development when appropriate.
  • Drive engineering best practices, testing, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership on technical direction.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering velocity and quality.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in C#/.NET.
  • Experience designing distributed systems and APIs.
  • Deep SQL Server expertise.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Experience leading technical design and architecture.
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with energy markets, settlements, or trading platforms.
  • Experience modernizing enterprise applications.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience incorporating AI-assisted development into engineering workflows.
