🏗️ Project OverviewThis role centers on the WERCS Studio application, a robust and mature platform critical for regulatory compliance. The project is unique as it balances the maintenance of a high-scale legacy system with the development of greenfield services within the modern ULTRUS ecosystem.
We are pursuing three parallel objectives:
- Maintenance & Enhancement: Supporting the legacy .NET Framework platform (MVC/Razor/jQuery) with security fixes and new integrations.
- Modern Service Building: Developing new React and .NET Core services aligned with modern PI architecture and Entity Framework.
- Regulatory Engine Innovation: Implementing a complex new regulatory engine based on an extensive 80+ page compliance specification, requiring deep logic decomposition and coordination with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
This is an ideal role for an engineer who enjoys navigating the bridge between legacy patterns and modern engineering stacks.
🔑 Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain fullstack features across both legacy .NET Framework (MVC/Razor) and modern .NET Core/React environments.
- Decompose complex compliance specifications into functional code, building a new regulatory engine with high logic density.
- Design and implement REST APIs to facilitate seamless interoperability between WERCS Studio and the ULTRUS platform.
- Optimize data interactions using both direct SQL queries (non-ORM) for legacy systems and Entity Framework for modern services.
- Collaborate with Regulatory SMEs to ensure technical implementations meet stringent compliance standards.
- Strong Backend Expertise: Professional experience with C#, .NET Core, and .NET Framework.
- Legacy Environment Navigation: Proficiency in MVC, Razor Views, and maintaining jQuery-based components.
- Data Proficiency: Solid experience writing/maintaining direct database queries (SQL Server/Oracle) without an ORM, plus expertise in Entity Framework for modern services.
- Modern Frontend: Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript, focusing on functional workflows and reusable component patterns.
- API Design: Proven ability to build RESTful APIs for complex system integrations.
- Experience in Agile and remote teams.
- Fluent English for daily communication.
- Microservices: Understanding of microservice patterns and architecture consistent with large-scale ecosystems.
- Azure Cloud: General experience with Microsoft Azure, including hosting, data storage, and application monitoring (App Insights).
- Architectural Awareness: Familiarity with cloud-native considerations like observability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Regulatory Experience: Prior experience working with compliance-heavy or logic-intensive software engines.
This is a 100% remote position for candidates located in Latin America (LATAM).
🤝 Time Zone & CollaborationRole requires significant daily overlap and collaboration with teams operating primarily on US Eastern Time (EST). Flexibility to align your working hours to maximize this overlap is expected.
