Challenge
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team, where you will play a pivotal role in the software development process, from initial design to user delivery. You will have the opportunity to shape products that deliver real-world value.
In this hands-on position, you'll collaborate with your team to enhance and extend the clients platform. Your responsibilities will include designing innovative solutions, writing high-quality code with unit tests, and leading by example to mentor other engineers.
You'll tackle technical challenges that enhance the user experience and become a key contributor to the codebase, ready to work across different areas as needed.
What you'll do
- Drive the development of the client's Interviewing Product Line, utilizing optimal development techniques, patterns, frameworks, and libraries for initiatives led by you and your peers.
- Analyze product requirements and create technical designs.
- Write clean, secure, and resilient code, along with unit tests.
- Review code written by others and mentor your peers.
- Collaborate on or take ownership of the research and planning for new initiatives.
- Identify and resolve complex problems within our systems.
- Share knowledge and lessons learned with your peers.
- Apply a risk-based approach to technical decisions from design to operational practices.
- Ensure robust automated testing is implemented at every level of the test pyramid.
- Communicate solutions and patterns effectively through comprehensive documentation and technical presentations.
In order to succeed in this position, you will need:
Mandatory skills
- Advanced/fluent English skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with several platforms such as: C#, .NET, Python, React, etc.
- Strong knowledge in Cloud Services and Best Practices (AWS).
- RESTFul APIs and MVC Web Patterns.
- Experience with Solid experience in a software engineering role.
- Strong proficiency with most or all languages and technologies listed below.
- Experience working effectively in a global virtual environment.
- Ability to design and code scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud applications.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker).
- Understanding of security best practices.
Nice to Have
- AWS experience is a plus.
- Relevant software development certifications in AWS or similar areas.
- Proven experience in building large-scale applications.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and guiding other developers.
