Objective of the role
Our Maintenance Automation Engineering team provides premium service and fast software updates to keep our world-wide customers' businesses safe
and running. To support our Maintenance Automation Engineering team we are looking for an experienced software developer to help us achieve an ever
higher level of process automation and integration of the various systems and services we use to coordinate and deliver software updates to our
customers and the community.

What you will do

Work on various applications/tooling that automate the maintenance processes within our SUSE product portfolio

Better integrate our various systems with each other, whether internal or public, open source or proprietary, third party or owned and maintained by SUSE

Implement solutions to issues found by our internal customers

Experience We Want to See

Strong Python skills

Experience with at least one Python web framework, preferably Django

Linux system and network administration, some experience required

Relational model, RDBMS & SQL, basic understanding and some experience required (PostgreSQL experience welcome)

Experience in software architecture related to web-based systems is desired

JavaScript fluency required, TypeScript knowledge is a plus
-
Experience in containers technologies

Experience with git is required
-
Experience Vue.js or similar frameworks is a plus
-
HTML5 & CSS3 skills are welcome

Experience with implementing RESTful APIs is a plus

Experience working with asynchronous calls is a plus
-
Experience working with messaging queues is welcome, RabbitMQ is a plus

Kubernetes experience is welcome

Experience with actions and pipelines is a plusGithub/Gitlab

Passion for Linux and Open Source Software

Fluent English, both spoken and written

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and openSUSE product knowledge is a plus
