ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're building a new engineering team in Sofia focused on developing OAG's core platform. As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, you'll play a foundational role in shaping our technical direction, from selecting the technology stack to establishing engineering standards and architectural patterns.
This is an opportunity to influence technical decisions from the ground up while delivering modern products that serve our global customer base.
YOU WILL:
- Design, develop, and deploy web applications and backend services from concept to production
- Help define and build our technology stack, advocating for tools and frameworks that balance innovation with maintainability
- Shape system architecture with a focus on scalability, performance, security, and long-term sustainability
- Establish CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and cloud infrastructure automation practices
- Drive cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP - your experience will help guide our choices)
- Design and optimize data storage solutions, working with relational databases, analytical databases, and data lakes
- Mentor team members, fostering best practices and a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Data teams to align technology with business outcomes
- Champion code quality through reviews, automated testing, monitoring, and observability
- Proactively identify technical debt and lead modernization initiatives
- Support incident response and drive continuous process improvements
- Help build a collaborative culture of shared ownership and innovation
IF YOU HAVE:
- Proven expertise in full-stack development with a track record of building production-grade systems
- Strong experience developing scalable web applications (SPAs or modern frameworks)
- Solid understanding of database design and optimization (experience with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar technologies)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Demonstrated ability implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical strategy
- A growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning
- Bonus: Experience establishing technical foundations for new teams or products
