Job Summary
Clarasight is seeking a top-tier full-stack engineer who is committed to reinventing how enterprises close the gap between climate-related intent and action through building the Carbon Planning and Intelligence platform.
You will lead development and maintenance for key sub-systems. You will use Postgres, Node.js, and React each to their best advantage.
You will work closely with a world-class team of full-stack engineers, QA engineers, product managers, report developers, and customer success managers.

Responsibilities
- Drive the development of core systems that power the platform's Planning, Scenario Modeling, and Analytics capabilities
- Execute the full software development lifecycle; technical analysis and design, development, and unit test phases
- Identify, deliver, and drive improvements and innovations within the software
- Work across the stack to successfully deliver value to customers
- Become a subject matter expert in travel and expense data and planning software systems
- Provide technical leadership and share knowledge, for instance, through code reviews, pairing, ADRs, and presentations
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Online availability during our collaboration hours: 9am - 1:30pm Eastern Time
- Hands-on experience with database-centric applications
We treat OLTP and OLAP databases as core application development platforms, not just places to store data. - Expertise in SQL
Example interview question: "Given a sales table, write a query to find the top three products with the highest total revenue and the associated revenue." - Expertise in TypeScript
Example interview question: "Write a function that accepts a list of book IDs, fetches the details for each, and returns the results sorted by title." - Experience leading a project, team, or initiative
Example interview question: "Tell me about a time when the scope changed on a project you were leading. What decisions did you have to make?" - Ability to debug hard problems from the browser all the way down to the database

- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) systems

- AWS: S3, RDS, EC2, IAM, Fargate, etc.

- Learning other coding languages and patterns quickly
- Report development in data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI
Compensation
$75,000 - $100,000 USD
