As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) on the Roblox Operating Systems team, you will be responsible for driving engineering efforts for building and scaling a suite of applications and reusable components to empower other Builders in various roles such as People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Budgeting, Roadmapping, and Business Analytics. We envision an integrated platform with many applications and tools that streamlines processes while providing employees and leaders with the information they need to support the business.
This is a growing team at Roblox, and we need a team member who can work with a high level of freedom and autonomy, advocate the best development practices and collaborate with outside vendors, and work with cross functional partners regularly!
You Will:
- Develop products, applications, or tools to allow other engineers and cross-functional partners to be more effective.
- Become an expert on our technology stack and ensure we build new components and applications in a scalable and robust manner.
- Balance researching new technologies with a practical approach to work towards the research efforts into the Roblox products.
- Collaborate with other teams within Roblox to make sure we are building products with a community mentality.
- Lead other engineers by example and through technical direction as an individual contributor.
- Author and review specifications for new features and improvements.
You Have:
- 4+ years of experience working on frontend platforms and backend systems in building phenomenal products
- 2+ years of experience leading technical projects with multiple team members involved
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
You Are:
- Experienced in building and deploying high-quality, user-focused products.
- Focused on writing clear, readable, testable, modular, and well-monitored code.
- Proficient in software development and architecture, with a strong background in both backend and frontend technologies.
- An expert in modern backend and frontend development frameworks and languages, with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
- A strong collaborator with great communication skills and are able to work effectively across teams.
- Passionate to leverage technology to create intuitive tools that enhance user workflows and drive business insights.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$218,540—$283,780 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
