Senior Full Stack Software Developer

As Senior Full Stack Software Developer, this role will work in the Global Custom Software Solutions team, building PPG.com digital platform. Applicants for the position will be expected to be self-driven, oversee the entire application development process, guide a team of developers following best practices (regarding coding and software engineering), as well as acting as a liaison with different agile team members including, but not limited to, Solution Architects and DevOps Engineers. To successfully perform this role, the applicant must be able to fully comprehend and implement functional and non-functional requirements and have strong familiarity with software engineering principles.
Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in .NET Web API, .ASP.NET
• Hands-on experience with JS-based front-end solutions (Angular and NodeJS background)
• Experience in large systems software design and development with hands-on experience in RESTful APIs
• Experience in Cloud platforms (Azure preferably)
• Practical experience with relational databases (MS-SQL preferably)
• Familiar with DevOps process, Azure DevOps, Terraform, PowerShell
• Ability to effectively participate in teams
• Ability to effectively present information in one-in-one and small group situations to Product Owners and other members of the organization
• Upper-intermediate English
• Analytical and conceptual skills with a good communicational skills and ability to mentor and direct others withing good understanding of the Agile development methodology. Can foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues.

Would be a plus:

• Experience with Kontent.AI, Commerce Tools, Algolia
• Thorough knowledge of custom semantic markup
• Experience in building pixel-perfect websites for high-volume marketing purposes
• Understanding of SEO-friendly markup and routing practices
• Familiarity with meta and click tracking markup for analytics.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing detailed business/functional/technical requirements and specifications for PPG.com Digital platform.
• Utilize Azure DevOps as the source for project and development documentation to ensure efficiency, create Technical Debt backlog in Azure DevOps, manage and track execution of it.
• Support technical and personal skills evolution for all development team members by embracing and following agile practice.
• Ensuring solutions are aligned to PPG IT strategies and maintain compliance to architectural standards and principles.
• Implement and facilitate unit testing methodology to continually upgrade code quality.
• Respond appropriately to system maintenance requests and isolate problems, fix immediate needs, analyze all ramifications, and implement solutions.
• Providing On call support.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
