As one of the few Platinum Shopify partners, we’re looking for great engineers to join our growing commerce-focused engineering team. Most of our work will be with Shopify but if you haven’t worked with Shopify before, don’t worry! We have a training program that can build off of your engineering fundamentals and get you familiar with the platform.

When you are working with our clients, these are some of the stuff you’ll be doing:

• Engaging with clients and gaining a deep understanding of their problem, needs, goals, and priorities.

• Managing client expectations and project timelines to ensure alignment.

• Clearly communicating any tradeoffs and risks while intelligently addressing any client questions.

• Architecting and developing Shopify focused e-commerce applications and experiences.

• Design, implement and manage schemas for commerce focused use-cases.

• Staying up-to-date with the latest commerce trends and technologies like semantic search or AI driven commerce.

The different types of projects you might be working on includes:

• Building a headless commerce experience such that the storefront is a custom application while the payments, inventory, shipping, etc. are all powered by Shopify.

• Applying your frontend mastery to Shopify storefronts using their Liquid theming system to create engaging and delightful experiences.

• Building custom Shopify apps to extend the functionality of Shopify.

• Oversee and perform complex data migrations between systems including Shopify, ERPs, CRMs and others.

• Building unique commerce experiences such as RFID checkout, token-gated shopping, AI powered shopping, immersive commerce and more.

• Proven experience working in e-commerce.

• Expert experience in full-stack development with Next or Remix.

• Proven track record of building products and working across the stack from creating intuitive and delightful frontends, to building secure and scalable backends.

• Strong database design and implementation experience with PostgreSQL with ORMs such as Prisma or Drizzle.

• Strong familiarity with GraphQL.

• Proven experience releasing products into production.

• Familiarity with one or more of the major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).

• Experience working in consulting or contracting contexts.

• Proven experience in learning new frameworks and technologies effectively.

The following would be bonus experience, though feel free to highlight any additional experience or skills you may have. We like working with people with varied backgrounds and experiences.

• Experience with Liquid templating, Shopify apps or Hydrogen.

• Experience with Magento or BigCommerce

• Experience with React Native and Expo.

• Familiarity with accessibility standards.

• Familiarity with internationalization and localization.

• Relevant industry certifications or publications.
