Amigo builds AI agents for healthcare. For managed service customers, we are responsible for maintaining and uplifting agent performance, ensuring clinical safety and continuous improvement of patient outcomes.
Our agents operate autonomously within bounded clinical domains. Clear inclusions, exclusions, and handoff protocols. The scope of autonomous operation expands over time as we validate performance across patient populations.
The platform handles both clinical workflows and patient engagement at scale: post-discharge monitoring, intake, medication adherence, care gap closure, and more. Context-aware agents with memory across sessions and clinical action capabilities.
Series A from leading investors. Clinical validation and evidence generation in partnership with leading academic medical institutions.
About this roleAs a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Amigo, you'll build the foundational applications that power clinical operations. Three products: Control Center for real-time oversight of agent conversations, Research Platform for natural language queries over healthcare data, and Agent Forge for designing agent behavior without code.
You'll own significant features end-to-end—from database schema to API to UI—across systems that handle sensitive patient data at scale. These applications are how clinical teams, researchers, and customers interact with our platform daily. High standards for correctness and reliability are expected.
What you'll doBuild and ship features across Control Center, Research Platform, and Agent Forge
Design and implement real-time interfaces for clinical oversight—streaming conversations, escalation workflows, audit trails
Create natural language query interfaces over healthcare data with appropriate certainty and feasibility indicators
Build no-code tools that enable non-engineers to design and configure agent behaviors
Implement responsive, accessible UIs that work across desktop and mobile for clinical users
Design APIs and data models that support real-time streaming, voice, and multi-channel communication
Build authentication, authorization, and audit logging for healthcare compliance
Optimize performance for applications handling high-volume clinical data
Collaborate with agent engineers, clinicians, and customers to understand workflow requirements
Contribute to shared component libraries and design system
4+ years of production full-stack engineering experience at high-caliber teams
Strong React/TypeScript skills with modern patterns (hooks, server components, state management)
Experience building Python backend services and REST APIs
Deep understanding of real-time systems (WebSockets, streaming, event-driven architectures)
Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization
Track record of owning features end-to-end from design through deployment
High standards for code quality, testing, and system reliability
Both execution-oriented and defensive-minded: you ship fast while anticipating failure modes
Strong product instincts—can translate user needs into elegant technical solutions
Experience working in fast-moving environments with evolving requirements
Clear communication across engineering and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with healthcare applications or regulated industries

What We Do
Amigo AI builds trust and safety infrastructure for clinical agents—ensuring AI systems in healthcare provide quantified confidence when mistakes aren't an option. Our platform combines advanced simulation, verification, and recursive optimization to enable healthcare organizations to deploy AI with statistical guarantees about its behavior.
We solve the fundamental challenge of reliable AI in critical domains through deterministic verification for clinical protocols and continuous drift detection for real-world performance. Our systems provide complete transparency—every AI decision is traceable and auditable, with quantified confidence intervals rather than black box predictions.
Founded by technologists from Google, Meta AI, Databricks, Coda, and Plaid, we've built systems that let organizations make informed risk decisions about AI deployment in healthcare. Our interdisciplinary approach draws from computer science, economics, physics, and mathematics to tackle human-centric optimization problems where people and populations are at the center of every solution.
We're actively working with healthcare organizations across digital health, cancer care, cardiac care, and personalized medicine to deploy AI systems that continuously learn and adapt from real-world feedback while maintaining verified safety boundaries. Our technology amplifies human expertise rather than replacing it, empowering domain experts to achieve outcomes neither could accomplish alone.
Why Work With Us
We build AI healthcare systems where 99% isn't good enough. Rapid growth—promotions in 3 months. Freedom to work your way: art museums or late nights. Tackle recursive optimization problems that ship to production. Your work directly impacts critical healthcare decisions. Diverse team from Google, Meta AI, Databricks solving problems that matter.
