Senior Software Engineer
The Role
As a member of Fidelity's Workplace Solutions (WS) Digital Platforms Technology team, you will be responsible for delivering new products and services using hybrid technology stack -- Angular, GraphQL, and Java.
Serving as a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role on a Scrum team and within Digital Platforms Technology. Working closely with the Squad Lead, Scrum Master, Tech Lead Systems Analyst, Quality Assurance, Architects and other Developers, you will help to craft, build, test, and deliver the features that make up Fidelity’s Digital experiences.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

5+ years of software development experience using in Java, Spring, middle tier restful services

7+ years of Client-side language, library, and framework proficiency in Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS

Experience integrating with APIs with a strong understanding of RESTful web services.

Strong Experience with Automation Tools/Frameworks

Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy; deploying applications in a DevOps environment

Experience working with Microsoft Azure or AWS/EKS

Experienced with secure coding standards and practices.

Knowledge in GraphQL, Apache Camel

Knowledge of architecture and design patterns to build highly scalable and resilient systems.

The ability to learn and adopt new technologies.

Ability to work on sophisticated technical and functional analysis tasks

A self-starter, who actively challenges status-quo, is curious and not afraid to ask 'Why' and 'What if'?

Have an approach of test first development and are experienced in modern test frameworks. We believe that quality is everyone’s job

Lead all aspects of application upgrades and assist with platform implementations.

Proactively identify potential issues with applications as they are developed.

Experience in communicating technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners, and partners.
