As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer you will join our software team to build out the interface used by our customers on a daily basis.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, improve, and extend the APIs for GrayMatter Robotics’ on-premise and cloud-based applications
- Build and maintain a customer-facing performant front-end application that helps configure and run automated surface finishing applications and visualizes critical data necessary to understand the robot and its environment’s state
- Build systems for synchronizing data between on-premise and cloud-based data
- Understand the customers’ needs to build out a great and reliable experience
- Build internal facing front-end applications to support efficiency of internal teams
- Enjoy autonomy and grow out and lead a team of developers
- Learn about the latest & greatest technologies in modern full-stack development
- Be part of a team of top-notch engineers, developers, and surface finishing experts
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in software development or similar/equivalent industry experience.
- Experience designing, launching, and versioning APIs
- Experience with Python and AWS tooling
- Experience in frontend development with TypeScript, JS, Node.js, react, or similar
- Demonstrated experience creating production or live web applications
- Experience interfacing with RESTful APIs, CORS and modern authentication systems such as web tokens
- Experience with frontend development tools such as NPM and NextJS
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple engineering teams and able to articulate technical design decisions
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities
- Must secure work authorization in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization beginning at the time of hire through the entirety of employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading teams and/or mentoring junior developers
- Proven track record of proactively starting large, mission-critical projects
- Experience working with webRTC and websockets
- Experience building visualization tools for robots or visualizing 3D data and building performant applications using hardware acceleration
- Experience with ROS and ROS 2 and robotic/automation systems
- Experience with modern deployment tools including docker
- Experience with testing frameworks for front-end applications
- Deep focus on quality and design of products
You can stand out with a portfolio of previous projects and Github account demonstrating your contributions. Especially open-source project contributions and demonstrated participation in open-source.

Compensation for this position includes the base salary range of $170,000- $200,000 USD plus equity.
