Role Summary
As a Senior Laravel/PHP Full-stack Engineer at Turno, you’ll be at the forefront of building robust, scalable systems and APIs. This role demands a full-stack mindset, deep expertise in Laravel, APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, and enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools to accelerate software delivery.
Strong English communication skills are required for this position.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-quality code using PHP/Laravel, JavaScript/TypeScript.
Implement and maintain clean, scalable architecture following our defined Clean Architecture principles.
Actively engage with AI coding assistants (Cursor, MCP) to accelerate development workflows.
Own feature delivery from initial planning and estimation through production support and optimization.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure alignment on objectives and user experience.
Qualifications
7+ years experience as a software engineer, specifically focused on full stack development on Laravel.
Extensive experience with full SDLC including production support and feature ownership.
Demonstrated expertise architecting scalable backend systems and translating complex business logic into robust, maintainable code.
Solid experience with API design standards and documentation tools like Swagger and Postman.
Familiarity with deployment environments and tooling (GCP, AWS).
Demonstrable experience and enthusiasm for AI-driven coding techniques.

LATAM Operations
This is a full-time contract role based in Brazil (fully remote). We communicate primarily in English, so strong written and verbal skills are required. Work hours are flexible but require consistent availability from 10 AM–3 PM local time. The position offers up to 15 days of annual PTO plus paid local public holidays, subject to company discretion.
