The Team and Areas of Ownership
Akeneo has recently released a new product called PX Insights which is helping customers leverage customer signals to deliver better product experiences and realise meaningful business impact (i.e increase sales and/or reduce returns).
The goal is to expand the number of data sources we can get customer insights from, build more pro-active actionable recommendations to take actions based on those insights and finally demonstrate the ROI by showing the business metric impact of those improvements.
What you will deliver in the role...

• Contribute to building out integrations to additional data sources, such as customer service and BI tools, to get product-related insights.
• Working on analysis models and UI for exposing new proactive recommendations based on different use cases and data sources
• Time series based analytics capabilities to show how key metrics have changed over time since an action was taken to improve the product experience.
• Building scalable systems capable of handling large and continuously growing volumes of data
• Working cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders across multiple product lines

What will set you up for success at Akeneo...

• Demonstrable advanced-level proficiency across Full-Stack Engineering, utilising React.js on the frontend, and PHP (Symfony) + GoLang on the backend (bonus points if you have experience implementing AI or working specifically on recommendation engines)
• All of our Senior+ Engineers have a good understanding of DevOps principles, microservices, and Cloud-based architectures at scale and are comfortable with deployment and observability best practices - we have a "Built It, Own It" approach..
• Provide mentorship and guidance to transfer knowledge across the function and upskill less experienced Engineers
• Stellar communication skills and an ability to "read the room" and adjust your vocabulary to suit both technical and non-technical audiences
• A test-driven and self-testing mindset where you build quality into your code from the get-go
• A customer-centric mindset that prioritises understanding user needs and business impact over technical perfection
