About the role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong Backend orientation who takes ownership, moves fast, and cares deeply about building high quality systems. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Hello Heart, you will work alongside a small team of experienced and highly talented engineers with a broad range of skills and capabilities and help us build great services for an innovative product that makes an impact. You will take the lead in developing backend systems for a product that actually saves lives, working with the latest AI tools, leading innovation, and working with a variety of technologies and projects.
Your focus will be on the core of our infrastructure and backend services, where large volumes of medical data and end-user behavior are processed and built into efficient services that can scale as fast as we do. This includes mission critical services that handle the business and revenue operations with complex behavior and external integrations supporting evolving business needs and new initiatives.
Our tech-stack: Claude, Cursor, GPT-Codex, Scala, JavaScript and TypeScript, Kafka, Kafka Streams, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Kubernetes, Nginx, Docker, Jenkins, ELK, Prometheus and more!
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong Backend orientation.
- Experience in production environment - a must.
- Programming experience with at least one of the languages: Scala/Java/Python/Node.js.
- Hands-on experience writing production code using AI-powered coding assistants (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code).
- Hands-on experience with relational and document based databases.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience working with distributed systems based on events streaming (e.g. Rabbit, Kafka, etc.) - Advantage.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and tools - Advantage.
- Experience with ReactJS - Advantage.
- Independent, fast learner and excited about learning new technologies.
- BSc in computer science or equivalent experience.
