This role focuses on architecting, developing, and maintaining Drupal applications that enhance ZenSource’s CMS offerings while aligning with our strategic goals and product roadmap.
REPORTS TO: Chief Architect
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize full-stack applications with a focus on content author usability, performance, scalability, and security.
- Architect, implement, and enhance web solutions using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
- Ensure seamless integration with cloud platforms, APIs, and third-party services.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Lead code reviews and establish best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
- Upgrade client CMS products to the latest Drupal versions and maintain core and contributed modules.
- Provide direct ZenCMS support to client developers and IT teams as they scale their implementations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in full-stack Drupal development, preferably in large-scale web projects or B2B SaaS environments like Acquia or Pantheon.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (React, Vue, or Angular), HTML/CSS, PHP, Twig, and Symfony.
- Expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, with experience in serverless architecture, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Solid experience with API development, RESTful services, and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience communicating directly with client stakeholders to define requirements and deliver Drupal work.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
