About the Role:
As a Senior Developer it is your role to lead the design, implementation, testing and delivery of functionality within the Impos software environment. You will provide expert input into technical design and software architecture and offer mentorship to colleagues through peer review and ongoing guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution of issue reports.
- Take ownership of the design and implementation of new feature sets, and that they meet customer needs and industry requirements.
- Analysis and optimization of existing systems.
- Provide expert input into system and software architecture.
- Review and approve colleagues code changes in line with best practices.
- Assist in the prioritization and investigation of escalated issues and feature requests.
- Work closely with the testing and QA teams to deploy and test new software builds.
- Collaborate with the customer service and professional service teams to document feature sets and produce customer training manuals.
- Play a key role in project related planning including sprints, workload estimation and software design.
- Coach and mentor team members, actively sharing knowledge and experience.
- Participation in daily standups and monthly company updates.
- Completing tasks within, or close to, estimated milestones and providing updates on delays or required scope changes.
- Ad-hoc development related duties such as deploying new releases and informing colleagues of project progress.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies to ensure robust and scalable systems.
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in high level technical knowledge across the .NET stack including C# and VB.NET, SQL Server and
- WPF
- Experience with web technologies including ReactJS and API-driven microservices
- Understanding of the technical challenges presented by connecting on premise and cloud
- systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to show initiative and self-motivation
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Positive approach to business and professional manner
