Job Overview:We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our core engineering team. You'll be a key contributor to building a scalable system, robust APIs, and performance-critical features.
You’ll work closely with our product, data, and engineering teams to design and deliver solutions that empower our platform and enable better, faster clinical trials.
You should bring deep backend expertise along with a strong full-stack mindset—comfortable jumping into the front end when needed and excited to build features end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs to power core platform functionality.
Optimize performance and scalability of backend systems, including PostgreSQL and SingleStore interactions.
Ensure seamless API integration and high-quality user experience.
Contribute to technical architecture, system design, and long-term engineering decisions.
Improve reliability and observability across services through logging, monitoring, and alerting.
Support database modeling, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and cross-functional collaborations.
Drive engineering best practices around testing, documentation, and maintainability.
5+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a backend orientation.
Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
Solid experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL required; SingleStore is a plus).
Experience modeling highly normalized relational databases with extensive table interdependencies.
Proficient in API design and development.
Comfortable contributing to frontend development using React and Next.js.
Experience with performance tuning, caching strategies, and query optimization.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment environments (we use Vercel and AWS).
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across product and data teams.
Passionate about building clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Experience with observability tools (e.g. Axiom, New Relic, Prometheus).
Familiarity with Prisma or other modern ORMs.
Exposure to data-intensive applications or healthcare platforms.
