Here's a closer look at this key role:
As a Senior Software Engineer for UCaaS, you will tackle significant engineering challenges such as building complex components and enhancing system scalability and reliability. You will advocate for software quality and security, and collaborate with various teams to drive our ambitious product roadmap forward.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain VoIP telecom systems using Freeswitch or Asterisk.
- Optimize system scalability, performance, and reliability in a real-time communication environment.
- Design and implement solutions using relational and non-relational databases and tools (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch).
- Provide technical guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Integrate with third-party APIs to enhance system functionality.
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in Freeswitch or Asterisk (this is mandatory).
- Experience with VoIP technologies such as SIP, RTP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Kamailio or other telecom infrastructure tools.
- Ability to work with both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis).
- Proven track record of designing scalable software architectures.
- Experience with programming languages such as Erlang, Scala, or Elixir is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in software engineering.
