Senior Full-Stack Developer – Modern Engineering & Agentic Coding
If you care about doing full-stack development the right way – through clean architecture, automation, CI/CD, IaC, observability, golden paths, and engineering foundations – you’ll feel right at home at the Tech Collective, where we combine deep technical skills with real client impact.
What you’ll do
Life as a consultant is different from a typical in-house role. At the Tech Collective, consulting means working on a wide range of projects with various clients – so you'll regularly encounter new challenges and have plenty of opportunities to grow your skills quickly.
We believe AI and agentic coding accelerate great developer practices – they do not replace them. That’s why solid architecture, quality, security, maintainability, and sound technical judgement matter more than ever.
In this senior role, you’ll help us understand client needs and turn them into real outcomes by taking technical ownership, guiding teams, and delivering robust solutions from idea to production.
Build, test, and deliver software using modern engineering practices such as everything-as-code, CI/CD, GitOps, automation, and open-source principles
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them make great decisions and turn ideas into practical solutions
Work across frontend and backend technologies, taking part in architectural decisions, system design, containerised environments, and clear, maintainable documentation
Improve developer and user experience by shifting quality left, applying strong design principles, mentoring others, and delivering minimum viable products with a clear path to scale
Design, build, and operate platforms and infrastructure, including APIs, CLIs, platform engineering, immutable infrastructure, and internal developer platforms
Collaborate, teach, and lead through effective communication, technical writing, code reviews, lean principles, and strong data and security practices
Lead technical workstreams and collaborate closely with clients, translating business needs into pragmatic technical solutions
What you’ll bring
One thing that can be said of all your future colleagues is that we’re curious by nature, have a team-first mindset, a good sense of humour, and clear opinions on how tech can create value for our clients. If this sounds like you, you’ll be a great fit at The Tech Collective.
We’re looking for people with a relevant M.Sc. (this is mandatory and could be, for example, in computer science or software engineering) who are based within commuting distance of our office in Copenhagen.
We’re looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development or similar engineering roles.
On top of that, the ideal candidate is someone who brings senior engineering experience and:
Communicates clearly in both written and spoken English
Shares our values around software quality and delivery
Enjoys working closely with clients and building trusted relationships with them
Is tool-agnostic and chooses the right tool for the job
Is comfortable with complexity and able to break problems down into manageable pieces
Has solid experience building and operating modern software systems in production
Understands software architecture, system design, testing, security, and maintainability
Can guide technical decisions, challenge assumptions, and communicate trade-offs clearly
Has experience mentoring or supporting other developers through code reviews, pairing, or technical sparring
Please note that you don’t need to meet all the criteria. The most important thing is that you have an engineering foundation, a senior mindset, consulting skills and curiosity to keep learning and growing.
What we offer
When you step into our office, you step into a world of nerdery – and we love it and intend to keep it that way. You’ll become part of a low-ego, high-trust team of sharp engineers who you’ll work closely with from day one.
Working with us means:
Real autonomy, real impact: you’ll own features end to end and lean into the tech you care most about.
Growth that matters: a learning programme, mentoring, and plenty of peer knowledge sharing.
Community and craft: strategy trips, meetups, and events across The Tech Collective/Implement Consulting Group.
Ready to shape the digital future with us? Let us know why and how in your cover letter and apply ASAP.
We’re on holiday during July, so please expect slightly longer response times.
