The Role:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Full Stack Developer (TypeScript/Node.js focused) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting robust, scalable, and high-quality software solutions for our Enterprise CRM, which manages content for our mobile applications. This role will involve working closely with AWS serverless technologies and collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to drive innovation and resolve application issues. We are migrating to a new platform (Strapi) and moving away from legacy applications, so adaptability and learning agility are key. What you will do:
- Develop and maintain back-end services using TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS serverless technologies
- Create and enhance solutions utilizing AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, and AWS CDK
- Support legacy applications built with ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS during migration phases
- Contribute to our platform migration to Strapi and modern serverless architecture
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes to improve product quality and platform performance
- Actively participate and contribute in all planning meetings, including pre-iteration, iteration, and retrospectives
- Analyze business problems and design and implement effective technical solutions.
- Collaborate with business units, quality assurance teams, and end-users to deliver cutting-edge software
- Troubleshoot, review, and resolve application issues as they arise
- Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their potential business value
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of meaningful backend experience with TypeScript and Node.js
- 5+ years experience with AWS CDK (TypeScript/JavaScript) for infrastructure as code
- Hands-on experience creating and managing AWS Lambda Functions, API Gateway, SNS/SQS
- Strong understanding and application of SOLID principles and clean code practices that can be applied across different technologies
- Demonstrated experience in developing and consuming REST APIs
- Strong learning agility and ability to quickly pick up new technologies and architectures
- Excellent collaboration skills - comfortable asking questions and working as part of a team
- Ability to get tickets across the line correctly and completely
- Knowledge of DevOps best practices and experience with build and deployment automation tools
- Familiarity with application performance and monitoring tools like CloudWatch
- Competency with security best practices, including OWASP Top 10.
Nice to have Skills:
- Some exposure to C# and ASP.NET (we have legacy applications that may need occasional support)
- Experience with both MS SQL Server and AWS DynamoDB
- Experience migrating from Angular applications to React
- Familiarity with Strapi or other headless CMS platforms
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS, SOC II, and HIPAA compliance requirements
