Iron Mountain GBS is scaling an engineering-led automation program that goes beyond traditional RPA—into API-first, cloud-native, data-aware automation and agentic AI. As a P3 Senior Full-Stack Automation Engineer, you will architect, build, and scale reusable automation components, secure integrations, and lightweight workflow apps that stitch together our enterprise platform Oracle Financials, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SQL Server systems with our GCP/BigQuery data backbone. You’ll mentor developers, drive best practices, and help us evolve toward agentic AI powered by VertexCI/Vertex AI and Gemini.

• Own end-to-end architecture for automation solutions: event-driven patterns, microservices, and API-first designs across GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Workflows, Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler, Secret Manager, IAM).

• Design secure, scalable integrations across Oracle Financials, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SKP, and additional SQL Server/operational systems via REST/GraphQL, MuleSoft/Apigee, and webhook/event bridges.

• Build reusable automation components (connectors, adapters, SDKs) and reference implementations that accelerate delivery and standardize patterns.

• Implement observability by design (Cloud Logging/Monitoring/Trace, error budgets, SLIs/SLOs), and enforce security & compliance (least privilege IAM, VPC-SC where applicable, secret rotation, auditability).

• Develop full-stack, lightweight workflow apps and control planes: React/Next.js (or Angular) + Node.js/TypeScript or Python backends, RESTful APIs, JWT/OAuth2 auth.

• Orchestrate end-to-end automations with Cloud Workflows, Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub, Serverless compute; build telemetry & admin UX for monitoring/approvals.

• Complement RPA where it’s the right tool: design/oversee UiPath or Automation Anywhere bots for last-mile UI tasks, with robust exception handling and idempotency.

• Engineer automated data flows to BigQuery and downstream analytics (Looker/Tableau) to expose operational KPIs, SLA dashboards, and cost/benefit realization.

• Implement data contracts, schema evolution strategies, and cost-efficient query patterns; collaborate with data engineering on reliability and lineage.

• Partner with AI teams to integrate VertexCI/Vertex AI and Gemini: prompt design, function/tool calling, guardrails, RAG with BigQuery, and human-in-the-loop reviews.

• Prototype and productize agentic workflows that reason over process context, take actions through APIs/RPA, and learn via evaluators & feedback loops.

• Lead technical discovery, solution design, estimations, and Agile delivery; run design reviews and threat models; uphold code quality via reviews and automated tests.

• Mentor P2 developers; elevate engineering standards (linting, testing, CI/CD, trunk-based development, canary/blue-green rollouts).

• Maintain strong stakeholder alignment across Process Excellence, Operations, Finance, CX, and IT.

• 7–10 years in software engineering/automation with 3+ years designing cloud-native integrations and workflows at scale.

• Strong in Node.js/TypeScript or Python, RESTful API design, React/Angular, SQL (BigQuery/SQL Server), Docker, CI/CD (Cloud Build/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI).

• Hands-on with GCP (Cloud Run/Functions/Workflows/Pub-Sub, IAM, Secret Manager, Cloud Logging/Monitoring) and BigQuery.

• Practical experience with UiPath or Automation Anywhere (solution patterns, exception handling, orchestration).

• Integration experience with Oracle Financials, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and MuleSoft/Apigee (or equivalent API gateways).

• Proven track record of secure design (OAuth2/OIDC, service accounts, least privilege), observability, and cost-aware architectures.

• Exposure to VertexCI/Vertex AI, Gemini, prompt engineering, function calling, guardrailed LLM patterns, and evaluator frameworks.

• Knowledge of Workato, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Looker, GKE, Apigee X, or Datadog.

• Experience in GBS/Shared Services automation and process excellence environments.

• Systems thinker with product mindset; bias for automation and reusability.

• Excellent communicator; can translate between business processes and technical designs.

• Comfortable leading design reviews, coaching engineers, and managing ambiguity.

• 30–40% faster automation delivery via reusable frameworks (measured by cycle time reduction from design→prod).

• 12–18 production-grade automations/apps live, >99.5% success rate, and SLA adherence >98%.

• $X value realized (documented hours saved / error-rate reduction / cycle-time improvements); telemetry published in dashboards.

• At least 1–2 agentic AI pilots moved to limited production using VertexCI/Vertex AI + Gemini, with clear guardrails and evaluator metrics.

• Observability & SRE baselines in place: SLIs/SLOs for key services, on-call runbooks, MTTR < 45 mins for Sev-2 incidents.

• Mentorship impact: P2 team operating with consistent code quality, test coverage >70%, and zero critical security findings in audits.
