About the role
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer at Makai Labs. The Senior Frontend Software Engineer will be responsible for front-end web development. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance user experiences and drive business outcomes.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in web development, with at least 3 years using Next.js.
Solid experience working from a fully remote position.
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
Relevant experience with using Tailwind/Material Ul/Joy UI
Familiarity with RESTful APls and modern authorization mechanisms.
Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Strong written and verbal communication in English, especially in remote and asynchronous environments
High degree of autonomy, accountability, and follow-through
Experience using AI-assisted development tools effectively is a plus
Responsibilities:
Develop new user-facing features
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability.
Write robust, clean, and documented code.
Maintain and enhance existing web applications.
Conduct performance tests and ensure responsiveness and stability across all platforms.
